Separate the questions
Insufficient funds, enforcement of a cheque and a separate criminal case are not the same question. Start with the return reason, bank confirmation and the actual documents rather than a promise to remove every restriction.
The official explanation
In its publication of 10 December 2023, the Government of Dubai Legal Affairs Department explains changes under Federal Decree-Law No. 50 of 2022. A cheque confirmed by the bank as having no or insufficient funds can serve as a writ of execution under Article 667. Decriminalising insufficient funds does not make the payment obligation disappear.
Organise the facts
Keep the cheque copy, bank confirmation, underlying agreement, payment history and notices. Arrange events chronologically. Do not upload banking documents to an open chat.
